USCAPE Announces Derek Jensen as EVP of Sales & Business Development

Irvine, January 8th, 2024 – USCAPE, a premier provider of collegiate and destination lifestyle apparel, proudly announces the appointment of Derek Jensen as Executive Vice President of Sales & Business Development. In his new role, Jensen will spearhead the company's strategic initiatives to broaden its footprint beyond the collegiate lifestyle apparel market, while also taking the helm of the collegiate headwear business.

Derek Jensen brings a wealth of experience to USCAPE, having previously served as the Vice President of Sales at Richardson Sports. Richardson Sports is a distinguished and vertically integrated designer, distributor, and manufacturer of both performance and lifestyle headwear. As a key player in the industry, Jensen has demonstrated exceptional leadership and a keen understanding of market dynamics.

"We’re thrilled to welcome Derek Jensen to the USCAPE team. I’ve been fortunate to work closely with him over the past several years and it feels like a dream to be able to land him as part of the USCAPE family. Derek's extensive background and strong reputation in the industry, coupled with his proven track record of success, positions him as the ideal leader to guide our company through its next phase of growth and expansion," said USCAPE CEO Alex Nowlin.

As the exclusive licensed collegiate distributor for Richardson Sports, USCAPE is well-poised to leverage its strong partnership with Jensen's previous employer. The partnership has seen tremendous success in the past 24 months expanding Richardson headwear into hundreds of schools and retail locations, including adding licenses with some of the largest programs in the collegiate market.

"I’m excited to join USCAPE, a company I’ve long admired as a partner in my previous role. The dedication I’ve witnessed from the other side of the table that it took to establish itself as a leader in collegiate lifestyle apparel has motivated me to contribute my skills and experience to the company’s continued success. I look forward to expanding our reach into additional markets and driving headwear growth in the collegiate market.," said Derek Jensen.

Jensen's appointment reflects USCAPE’s commitment to fostering innovation, driving expansion, and maintaining its status as a trendsetter in the collegiate apparel industry.

USCAPE Named and Ranked Among 2023 Inc. 5000

USCAPE Named and Ranked Among 2023 Inc. 5000

NEW YORK, August 15, 2023 – Inc. revealed today that USCAPE ranks in the top half on the 2023 Inc. 5000, its annual list of the fastest-growing private companies in America. The prestigious ranking provides a data-driven look at the most successful companies within the economy’s most dynamic segment—its independent, entrepreneurial businesses. Facebook, Chobani, Under Armour, Microsoft, Patagonia, and many other household name brands gained their first national exposure as honorees on the Inc. 5000.

USCAPE celebrates experiences by crafting timeless apparel that captures a brand’s unique identity and culture. USCAPE has been an apparel manufacturing company in the Collegiate and Destination retail industries since 2013.

The Inc. 5000 class of 2023 represents companies that have driven rapid revenue growth while navigating inflationary pressure, the rising costs of capital, and seemingly intractable hiring challenges. Among this year’s top 500 companies, the average median three-year revenue growth rate ticked up to an astonishing 2,238 percent. In all, this year’s Inc. 5000 companies have added 1,187,266 jobs to the economy over the past three years.

For complete results of the Inc. 5000, including company profiles and an interactive database that can be sorted by industry, location, and other criteria, go to The top 500 companies are featured in the September issue of Inc. magazine, available on newsstands beginning Tuesday, August 23.

More about Inc. and the Inc. 5000

They must be U.S.-based, privately held, for-profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2022. (Since then, some on the list may have gone public or been acquired.) The minimum revenue required for 2019 is $100,000; the minimum for 2022 is $2 million. As always, Inc. reserves the right to decline applicants for subjective reasons. Growth rates used to determine company rankings were calculated to four decimal places.
